How to make your perfume last longer in the Pakistani heat
Where to spray, how much to use and how to store a bottle so your scent stays with you through a hot day.

Why scent fades faster in summer
Heat and humidity make perfume evaporate and project faster. That is why a scent that lasts all evening in December can feel gone by lunchtime in June. A few simple habits make a real difference.
Apply to moisturised skin
Perfume holds better on skin that is not dry. Spray straight after a shower, or over an unscented moisturiser. On dry skin, scent has less to cling to and fades sooner.
Choose the right spots
- Pulse points: wrists, the sides of the neck and the inner elbows, where the skin is warm.
- Behind the ears and at the nape of the neck, where the scent rises gently as you move.
- A light mist on hair or a scarf: fibres hold scent well. Keep clothes you care about out of direct spray, as some perfumes can mark delicate fabrics.
Do not rub your wrists together
Rubbing warms the skin and breaks up the top notes, so the opening fades faster. Spray and let it dry on its own.
Pick the right family for the season
Fresh and floral scents feel comfortable in the heat. Richer amber, oud and gourmand scents are at their best in cooler months, when they feel inviting rather than heavy.
Store your bottle well
Light and heat change perfume over time. Keep the bottle in its box or a drawer, away from windows, bathrooms and a hot car.
Carry a travel size
A 10 ml travel spray fits in any bag, so you can refresh your scent before an evening plan without carrying a full bottle.
